SOS International sharpens its focus
SOS International A/S has made a strategic decision to focus on its two original core areas of Mobility and Travelcare and to aim solely on the Swedish market with the Healthcare business.
The purpose is to strengthen all three business areas. Going forward, SOS International will only operate its Healthcare division in the Swedish market. In Denmark, Norway and Finland, there will be increased focus on the two original business areas Mobility and Travelcare.
The decision stems from long-term strategic work at SOS International, and the aim is to provide all three business areas with optimal conditions.
“As part of a strategic work that has been going on for a year, we have decided that SOS International must utilise the synergies between Mobility and Travelcare to a greater extent with a focus on sustainability, digitalisation, strategic partnerships and development of the business model. We can do that by targeting our focus”, says Jan Sigurdur Christensen, CEO, SOS International.
By focusing on Sweden, the Healthcare division has a better opportunity to evolve and develop in a growing market.
“The market for health insurance and other health-related services is growing rapidly in Sweden. With this decision, Healthcare achieves a greater degree of freedom to seize the opportunities on the Swedish market, says Marika Qvist, EVP Healthcare, SOS International.
The Healthcare division was established as an independent business area in SOS International in 2018 and is thus the newest business area in SOS International.
The Danish part of the Healthcare business will be integrated into Travelcare, while the Norwegian Healthcare activities will be phased out. SOS International has no Healthcare activities in Finland.
