SOS International moves to Ørestaden

When summer draws to a close and Nordic travellers have returned from their summer holidays, SOS International packs up their moving trucks and moves to Fairway House in Ørestaden. As the name suggests, the new location overlooks the golf courses at Amager Fælled.

- We have been through an intense search process to find the right place to move to. Our current premises in Frederiksberg can no longer meet our needs. We have too little space, and we need a physical framework that can help make our working life a little nicer, says Jan Sigurdur Christensen, CEO, SOS International.

Among other things, meeting rooms, the possibility of a better physical working environment, more common rooms have been the search criteria in the search for new premises. At the same time, it has been a requirement that there must be good access conditions with public transport.

More moves in history
This is not the first time SOS International has moved headquarters. In November 1997, the moving trucks drove from Vesterbrogade 74 in Copenhagen to Nitivej 6 in Frederiksberg. And until the end of the 1970s, SOS International had an address on Meldahlsgade.

Over the years, the lease in Frederiksberg has been renovated and refurnished several times to keep up with the development of employees and working methods. When moving in in 1997, the employees numbered around 100 - today approximately 500 employees have their workplace at Nitivej 6. For a while, SOS International has also had leases with offices at Nitivej 10.

More about Fairway House
In Fairway House at Arne Jakobsens Allé 7, 4th-6th floor, SOS International gets high ceilings, good light and open views of Amager Fælled, Royal Golf Center and the Copenhagen skyline.

The building's common areas have been newly renovated, and the lease will be renovated according to SOS International's wishes and needs before moving in.

Fairway House was built in 2012 and has the best energy rating a house could achieve at the time of construction.
